As the co-founder and co-president of Queer Community Network, Kat works to amplify the voices of marginalized communities, build networks of care, and advocate for equality and acceptance. Her work centers on creating a world where everyone can live authentically, be seen, and thrive.
A longtime activist, Kat began her journey of community work at a young age with the guidance of family and mentors. She attended St. Mary's Academy, an all-girls catholic high school, where she was involved in various social justice causes, performing arts, and high level academics. She went on to pursue a music performance degree from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, further honing her skills in creative expression - expertise she feels is vital to her success as a community organizer and proponent of change. Post-college, Kat stayed in Philadelphia for over 6 more years, where she quickly became known for organizing impactful community events such as fundraisers, block parties, and voter registration drives, all designed to bring people together and create tangible change.
In addition to her work with Queer Community Network, Kat, co-owns Dandelion Teahouse & Apothecary, alongside her mom, Marianne. Together, they strive to make Dandelion a welcoming space for connection, healing, and exploration. When Kat isn't organizing or running the business, she enjoys aerial yoga, playing with her two cats, Milo and Luna, going on outdoor adventures with her husband, Patrick, and making art and music.
